Don't pull the rug out from under them
Originally published in December 2004 on a blog I'm abandoning. It's advice addressed to customer service and call center types.
I was shopping for a car two years ago. While doing some preliminary research online, I ran across a car dealer that employed a salesperson just to work with inquiries from the internet. Cool, I thought. How very enlightened and 21st century. This is for me.
