Select the new treasury secretary now

Sen. Chris Dodd said something on Morning Joe that caught my ear: that taxpayers are handing over a blank check to Sec. Hank Paulson, and then to an unknown secretary of the treasury.

It could be that cabinet post is more important now than the vice president. Shouldn't we hear who each candidate has in mind for the post sooner than later?
