No value placed on originality

Don't you hate it when people have to be so safe that they don't trust anything that hasn't been tried?

When somebody says, "I've never heard of anything like that before," with a doubtful scowl, I pretend I didn't read the person's face and say "I know, neither have I! Isn't that exciting?"
