Office placemat

Had a crazy product idea today.

It's a sort of to-do list tool, a printed placemat, maybe a pad of them, maybe newsprint, I like newsprint. On it are printed outlines or faint screened-back photos of a plate, a coffee mug and pictures of pens and pencils in place of silverware. The irony is that it's in front of you in a chair at a desk, which is situationally much like you in a chair at dining, kitchen or restaurant table.

If you like index cards (like me) you could put your cards representing immediate projects or tasks on your plate, get it? Or if you don't use cards you could just doodle right on the mat. Or do both. Maybe since it's newsprint, like your old coloring books, you might be inspired to use your highlighter and do some coloring while you think about what you really should be doing.

I think I'll make up a prototype. What do you think?
